Dr Robert Gordon
Dr Robert Gordon is a consultant psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry. He graduated from Imperial College London in 2011 and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2018. He is married, has two young children and a beloved cat and dog. He lives in the New Forest in Hampshire.
He is the Founding Director of New Forest Psychiatry.
With over 10 years experience working in the NHS, Dr Gordon currently works as a part-time NHS Consultant Psychiatrist in the local Community Mental Health Team and in the local tertiary centre Mood Disorders Service in Southampton. He has broad experience of working with patients with a broad range of mental disorders and remains actively involved in academic research, medical education and supervision, as well as as quality improvement.
He continues to provide support medical students and psychiatric trainees, and has led and supported various major Quality Improvement projects within the local NHS Foundation Trust. His work continues to benefit his NHS organisation, for example with the building of necessary digital infrastructure on an inpatient unit, and he continues to professionally network with key influential figures, services and companies within the field of psychiatry and beyond, both locally, nationally and internationally.
Dr Gordon’s special interest is in Neurodevelopmental Disorders within General Adult Psychiatry, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults. He has worked with countless patients to support with the recognition, assessment and diagnosis of these conditions. Beyond diagnosis, he has supported patients on their pathways to recovery, back into the workplace if this is their goal, but fundamentally has helped both his patients and their families with finding hope.

Dr Claire Balysz
Dr Claire Balysz is a General Practitioner with an extended role (GPwER) in the assessment and management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults. She qualified from University College London in 1997 and has worked as a GP since 2007.
She completed specialist training in the diagnosis and treatment of adult ADHD with UKAAN and currently works with the Somerset ADHD Service within the NHS. In addition, she is a GP partner in Southampton and offers private GP consultations at Spire Hospital, Southampton.
Dr Balysz has a particular interest in women’s health and lifestyle medicine, and brings a holistic, patient-centred approach to both general practice and ADHD care. Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of how neurodevelopmental conditions can affect all aspects of life, and she supports her patients with empathy, pragmatism and hope.
Outside of work, she is a single mum to five grown-up children and enjoys horse riding, running, and spending time with her two terriers.
